How to Upgrade to Adobe Lightroom 6

How to upgrade to Adobe Lightroom 6

With the recent release of Adobe Lightroom CC and Lightroom 6, many people have been asking about how to upgrade from their older version to Adobe Lightroom 6 standalone version.

On the Adobe website most of the links will direct you to the Lightroom CC version which is great if you want to take out the subscription for Photoshop and Lightroom.

But what about everyone else that just needs to upgrade from an earlier version of Lightroom to Lightroom 6?

There is a link on the adobe website to upgrade your license to the latest version, but it is not as obvious as the links to the CC version.

This url will direct you Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 upgrade

Once you are on the adobe website scroll down to Photoshop Lightroom 6. At the right side of the screen there is a BUY button and the full price, click the BUY button.

Next click on the drop down next to I want to buy: and choose UPGRADE.

Below this click on the drop down next to I own: and enter the older version of Lightroom that you have. Click Add to Cart and Checkout to download the latest version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 as a standalone program.

When you come to load Lightroom 6 on your computer you will need your Adobe ID to login and get Serial Number for Lightroom 6

Please share this on your social networks, if you are on my website use the buttons below.

It would appear by the way the link to purchase Lightroom is difficult to find, that Adobe would prefer all Lightroom users to be on their Creative Cloud. It is my belief that if enough people upgrade their standalone version Adobe will not refuse this as an additional turnover in their business. As I said above please share.
