Old St Annes Pier Morecambe Bay - I could believe my luck on this particular morning and felt very blessed indeed with the images that I took away from this shoot! Results like these don't come along very often!
I had always wanted to shoot the old St Annes pier and thought that it needed wet sand and a reflected sunrise in order for it to really work as an image. On this particular day, I had gone to do more of a recognisance to see what height the tide would need to be in relation to the pier to get the image that I had in my mind's eye. However, I couldn't help but notice that the forecast was for high cloud only at sunrise and that the tide was possibly going to be in the right place...!
Location
The Old St Annes pier is located along the Lancashire coastline on the Morecambe Bay estuary, just south of Blackpool in the North West of England.
